Look at the bright side

Often the ideal life we all aspire seems far away, and the mere next thought might make us anxious. But continuing to tap on the present moment just to remorse is unfair. It is easy to accord in a crowd to complain about how tough life is. However, if we could maintain a good attitude each time our mind shifted to a negative thought, we could embrace smaller changes that are possible now. Watching sunrises doesn’t have to be a vacation activity, near a beach or between mountains, Since the sun rises in every part of the world, even if we are in a busy city or in a multistory apartment, we can still enjoy watching the sunrise in the middle of nature. Sunrise from my apartment. Instead of condemning yourself for a rested weekend, be grateful that you got a quality rest, which is also an effective use of your time. Prioritize on physical and mental wellbeing. Activities like walking, writing, or anything else requiring your hands and legs could make every hour more enjoyable for us.

Healthy Recipes for Kids with Nuts and Dryfruits

Image
Even though not every parent count calorie, we still choose to provide our children with healthy portions. The following are a few recipes and pointers that helped me successfully incorporate seeds, nuts, and dry fruits into my child's diet. After they have been tested to ensure that the kids do not have any allergies to any of the ingredients, give these recipes a try.   Nuts Powder: Recipe: Take a handful of each nut—almonds, cashews, pistachios, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and flax seeds—and roast them after being air dried, soaked for 12 hours (for almonds, about 4 hours), and soaked for 12 hours. The addition of dried ginger or cardamom to this is up to you. Save them in an airtight container after grinding in pulse mode. For two weeks, you can use this. We can sprinkle it on anything—pancake batter, porridge, curry leaves powder, etc.—but some kids prefer it on sweet dishes like pancakes, sweets, and dumplings only. Notes: Taking a handful of each nut will result in a larg

The Art of Packing

Image
Most of us will already be making travel arrangements as the summer break is just around the corner. Although preparing for these trips can be stressful, with a little planning and organization, you can pack like a pro. The art of packing is being able to pack your possessions neatly and successfully for a journey. It entails picking the appropriate items to pack, putting them in a convenient order, and making the most of the space in your luggage. These suggestions can help you pack like an expert. Create a packing list: List all the items you need to carry in your luggage. You can keep organized and make sure you do not forget anything by doing this. You will feel more in charge of your vacation and be able to recognize stuff you may leave behind as a result. Checking items off the list as you pack them can be enjoyable as well. Choose the appropriate luggage: While selecting your luggage, keep in mind the duration of your trip and the mode of transportation you will be taking. A

2 Days in Kotagiri. A magical hill station.

Image
History of Kotagiri: The Nilgiris, one of the oldest mountain ranges in India, is a component of the Western Ghats and is located where Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka meet. There are three hill stations in this district: Ooty, Coonoor, and Kotagiri. Two Europeans, Mr. Whish, and Kindersley, who served as the Collector of Coimbatore's aides in 1818, found Kotagiri near Rengaswamy peak. The then-Collector of Coimbatore, John Sullivan, had a keen interest in this region of the nation. On July 31, 1819, he established himself there and filed a report with the Board of Revenue. This is a fact that has been documented. However, there is still ongoing research on this subject as the trail was used by Indian traders for many years, possibly centuries before, Tipu's Armies had traveled through Malabar from Mysore via the same way, and these villages had been Nelliyalam Rani's residence for a very long time before the arrival of the Europeans.  Nilgiri district had been a locale f

A Hassle-free New Year

Image
Earlier during school days new year just meant a holiday, with a usual festive day ritual of new dress, temple visit, rest of day playing and an evening 6 pm movie in Television. For the rest of the year all we cared was to make sure to write the date correctly. As we grew it was fascinating to realize that new year hits places around the world at different times due to the different time zones across the world. Here is a fun way to see the real-time new year countdown across the globe . And later it was more subjective topic to understand that new year traditions are not the same across the globe and in some places it’s not the same day. Further growing is when we start getting the picture that new year day follows with the new 12 months. But these days seeing new year beyond the logic of a calendar, there is an exaggeration for new year that many consider resetting their life every new year. It’s misjudged as a time to rush to clean up the mess, but by overthinking on what to do this

Christmas in Chennai

Image
Hello Guys,   After much contemplation here is my first post in December 2022. Though we say in jest that chennai has only one season throughout the year and that is summer, when the temperature goes down around this time of the year, we already start missing the warmth of daylight and blame the winter blues. It’s this time when we bundle up with those sweaters and hoodies that we use just once a year. Many of us are in need of ways to overcome these less sunshine days and that’s why december is getting more eventful than it used to be.   From getting yearly calendars over the counter in supermarkets, planning for yearend trips and getting free margali utsav passes, our horizons to entertain has broadened.   Making a snow man and calling it a holiday season would hardly suit our environment, in reality, we just don’t have holidays this december, as even Christmas and new year is falling on a sunday. Still here are few ways everyone can enjoy Christmas in Chennai: Decorate a C
